10/16/2023- 10/20/2023 Is free application week for the state of Alabama! Almost all Alabama colleges and universities are waiving the application fee for students to apply this week. If there are any schools you have not yet applied to in the state of Alabama, now is the time to do it!

I'd like to share with you my admissions update from Mr. Billy Fisher at Auburn. I will post all future college and scholarship updates here on my page and will send the same information to seniors in our group me.

"I hope you all are doing well and have had a great summer! With fall rapidly approaching, I wanted to touch base with you regarding a few updates to Auburn University’s admissions process this year.

1. Our Fall 2024 freshman admissions application will now open on August 15^th (instead of August 1^st). The dates and deadlines will be as follows:

Round 1: September 15^th (receives admissions decision in mid-October)

Round 2: October 15^th (receives admissions decision in mid-November)

Round 3: November 15^th (receives admissions decision in mid-December)

Early Action*: December 1^st (receives admissions decision in mid-January)

Regular Decision: February 1^st (receives admissions decision in early March)

*Students must complete their admissions application file by December 1^st at the latest in order to be eligible to apply for scholarships*

1. Good News! We will accept the ACT superscore report this year for both admissions and scholarship purposes.
2. If a student completes their admissions application file by December 1^st, we will use their highest ACT or SAT superscore in our system on January 10, 2024 for scholarship consideration.
3. Lastly, I wanted to remind you of our test-optional policy. Auburn University is a test-preferred institution, but does offer a test-optional admissions pathway for students with a 3.6 or higher weighted/cumulative GPA. This is not a minimum to be accepted for admission. It is just a minimum to apply as a test-optional applicant. If you, your students or their parents have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to let me know or direct them my way."

As summer breaks begin to draw to a close, we write to remind you that the 2024 application for the Coca-Cola Scholarship (open to high school students who will graduate during the 2023-2024 academic year) will be available from our website August 1 through October 2, 2023. Note that we have an earlier deadline this year! Please plan to share this opportunity with your graduating students who are having a significant positive impact in your school and community through their leadership and service.
