Auburn University Admissions Update 08/03/2018

Hello Seniors!
Below is some admission information sent to me from Auburn University:

Good Morning!

I hope you all are doing well and that you’ve had a great summer! As we head into the 2018 - 2019 school year, I just wanted to reach out to all of you about some important updates/information for the Auburn University admissions process.

Our admissions application will open on our website on August 15thand we will begin releasing admissions decisions at the end of September on a weekly/rolling basis throughout the fall. While the “official” deadline for students to apply to Auburn University is January 15th, we recommend that students submit all application materials by November 1st at the absolute latest (this will allow them enough time to be accepted and still meet our scholarship application deadline). A completed admissions application file will include the following:

-          Completed admissions application on our admissions website

-          $50 application fee or fee waiver

-          Official ACT and/or SAT sent directly from the testing agency

-          Official high school transcript from grades 9 – 11

Our AUSOM scholarship application deadline will be December 1st. This means that students will have to be accepted for admission and complete AUSOM by December 1st in order to be eligible for scholarships at Auburn. With this in mind, the October ACT and November SAT tests are likely the last opportunity for students to get their scores as high as possible for scholarship consideration.

Our academic scholarship criteria will not be changing this year, and will remain as follows:

3.5 or higher GPA (weighted & cumulative) + 28-29 ACT (or equivalent SAT): $4,000/year for four years

3.5 or higher GPA (weighted & cumulative) + 30-32 ACT (or equivalent SAT): $8,000/year for four years

3.5 or higher GPA (weighted & cumulative) + 33-36 ACT (or equivalent SAT): Tuition for four years

Students will still have until May 1st of their senior year to submit their enrollment deposits and accept any scholarship offers they receive.

I am looking forward to working with all of your this year! If you or any of your students/their parents ever have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me or provide them with my contact information. I can be reached at [email protected] or at 334-844-6469.

I hope all of your school years get off to a great start! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you ever have any questions.

War Eagle!
