Jason Armstrong (Coach Jason)

Dear Glenwood Families,

I am new to Glenwood and I am very thankful for the opportunity to become part of this staff and Family. I am very excited to welcome our new and returning students and look forward to teaching your children.

I am Jason Armstrong. I grew up in north Florida, graduated High School in 2000 from Robert F. Munroe Day School. I attended Liberty University twice: 2000 & 2015. I graduated with a BS Degree in Special Education and hold a certificate in Special Education K-12 and Health. This is my 7th year as a certified educator but my 12th year inside of a classroom.

I am also an Assistant Football Coach. I was a three sport athlete in high school and signed a football scholarship to play at Liberty University in 2000. After a redshirt year, I transferred to Troy University as a preferred walk-on in 2001. In 2003 I moved to Pikeville, Kentucky to play at Pike University. After two seasons It was time to hang up the playing cleats. My dad was an educator and football coach for 44 years, so in 2006 he called me up and said “It’s time to follow your passion, I got you a job”. I accepted and haven’t looked back. This will be my 17th year coaching varsity football.

I am very excited for this school year and I look forward to teaching and coaching your children. If you have any questions or need anything please contact me at [email protected]
