Open a Google Doc. Pretend you have been assigned a Pen Pal in Germany. Write a letter introducing yourself. Your letter should be 3 paragraphs. Start by identifying who you are, describing your school, favorite/ least favorite classes, extracurricular activities,  school clubs/organizations, etc. Then describe your life outside of school, describing your family background and make up, and how you spend your time away from school. Include hobbies, interests, jobs, chores, etc. Lastly, describe your future goals and aspirations. (School? Work? Career? Location? Future family?)
Make sure you write in a friendly letter format. Start with "Dear Pal," and end with "Sincerely, (Your Name)." Your Pen Pal can read English, but not slang, so be sure you use proper grammar and spelling.


Attach your letter to this assignment. When you're done, the sub has a worksheet "Gender-Role Characteristics" for you to start in class today.  If you don't finish it today, you can work on it Wednesday in class.
