Review alphabet letters and sounds (Chart 2; this chart is in our green binders)
Spelling: We will be introduced to our 1st Spelling word list Friday, August 22nd
Math: Review number sense; numbers 1-100, concepts of addition and subtraction with our fact families 1-3, patterns, number words, writing our numbers, counting by 1, 5, 10; counting backwards 1s and 10s; counting pennies; before/after # by 1s; counting on a # line; recognizing #'s/number words 1-20; reviewing days of the week Practicing fact cards to improve automaticity with number recognition. :) Be sure to practice and notice plus and minus signs and discuss the difference.
