Course Description
Welcome to Reading! Wow, it's the second quarter! Do I hear sleigh bells already?
Each week we will have a new reading selection. Reading tests will be given every Friday and tests will include vocabulary. Please click the link under Files, on the right side of this page, for this week's lesson
plans.
AR for the 2nd quarter begins on Tuesday, October 8th and ends TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17TH. This is the final day for turning in grades for the end of the quarter and that means no grace period days. Students must be finished with all AR testing by 3:00 P.M. , TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17th.
Students AR points for each quarter will be based on each student's individual ZPD range, daily reading time of 30 minutes, and a target comprehension score of 85% or better on each test.
Please read the 01AR Parent letter in the Files section on the right side of this page. It will give you detailed information on how your child's AR is graded and how it affects his or her grades.
