Miss Alexander

It's been a fun-filled week in 1st grade!
Yesterday we celebrated International Dot Day with the entire school by each decorating a dot and gluing it to the banner in the lobby. Students were encouraged to wear as many dots as possible and we had several learning activities throughout the day involving dots.
To kick off our unit on healthy living, a student's mom came to talk about healthy eating habits and to discuss the food pyramid with us today. Our first graders were eager to share their healthy habit stories and ask our guest speaker lots of questions!
