Weekly Lesson Plans for September 23rd-27th
Reading and Phonics:  We will begin our Tiptoes Reading series.  We will learn all of Chart 6 sounds, this list in in your child's binder clear folder.  We will have Chart 6 Test on Wednesday, Sept. 25th.  Please use the chart cards to study.
Spelling:  List 6  words:  cuff, puff, sniff, stuff, bell, doll, well, will, bless, cross, you, of
Monday- Spelling Once due
Wednesday- No sentences this week
We will test on List 6 on Thursday, Sept. 26th
Visit for extra practice and games on List 6
Math:  Concepts: adding/subtracting 1-7 fact families, counting 1-30, count by 5s to 100, patterning, and story problems.
Weekly Math Test on Thursday,  Sept. 26th
Environment:   We will learn about Nutrition, Exercise, and Taking care of our Bodies.  We will have a Health test on Monday, Sept. 30th.
Language: We will learn about Nouns.  A noun names a person, place, or thing.  We will learn the difference between a Proper and Common Noun.
Bible:  We will do Daily Devotions.

Welcome to First Grade!  I have been teaching for 22 years, with 10 of those being at Glenwood.  I am married and have one son that attends Glenwood, one son attending Southern Union, and the other son attending Auburn.  I also graduated from Glenwood many years ago and Columbus State University.  I enjoy cooking, spending time with family, and ,of course, teaching.
