Choice 1: Answer the following questions (Google Doc) and submit. The answers will be found on your two sets of notes on World War I.
Choice 2: Make a video of you singing the entire Causes of WWI song. I have attached the video. You can definitely have the video playing in the background for you to see the words, but I must see/hear you singing. Attach the video here and submit.

1. The US actually entered the war at the perfect time.
2. Russia had recently bowed out of combat.
3. March 1917 - Russia's terrible wartime conditions led to strikes and demonstrations in its capital.
4. Czar Nicholas II abdicated.
5. Abdicated means to give up power.
6. His army joined the side of the protestors.
7. The czar and his whole family were executed.
8. October 1917 - violent revolutionary group called the Bolsheviks seized power and demanded a government by and for the workers and peasants
9. This group was led by Vladimir Lenin.
10. Lenin established the first communist government in the world based on the ideas of Karl Marx.
11. The communist government replaced 300 years of czarist rule by the Romanov family.
12. To concentrate on the revolution on the home front, Russia signed a treaty ceding much of its territory to the Central Powers.
13. This closed fighting on the Eastern front.
14. Germany was now confident it would win the war.
